Don't you have much more faith in ideas that you discover for yourself than in ideas that are handed to you on a silver platter? If so, isn't it bad judgment to try to ram your opinions down the throats of other people? Isn't it wiser to make suggestions - and let the other person think out the conclusion? Letting the other person feel the idea is his or her own will help them to sell themselves. They will feel very important, and complimented. You will not have to sell them on your ideas, they will buy.

it's 50/50, but if I ask advice I want an answer that I can think about. If I go against the advice given to me at least I know what to expect if I go forward. however if I feel that I have to ram my ideals down someones throats, he/she is not worth talking to. It's easier to prove your point to a hard headed stubborn person than an idiot. If my great and wounderful ideal is going to burn down the building, I think it is more important that someone confronts me and make sure I don't go forward. strong debate is always needed as long as we remember there is no I in team.
