Good Morning!!
Hey everybody!! I promise I haven't forgotten about this blog!! The last few weeks have just been an incredible whirlwind. As many of you know by now, I started a new job at the beginning of the year and I'm finally starting to catch my breath. I no longer work for NORMLS (Northern Ohio Regional Multiple Listing Service), which I served gratefully for 4 1/2 years as their Communications Coordinator. I now work at at a company called First Choice (home health care/medical staffing) and am serving as their Vice President of Operations. I'm very excited about this opportunity and look forward to what opportunities and challenges it will bring. I've got so much to learn and overcome, which makes me nervous, but I know that God can equip me with whatever I need to do the job well. Above all, I just pray that He guides me through this wild course and in one way or another uses me for His amazing glory.

World Clock
Although it's said that 50% of the stats you hear are wrong (pun intended), I'm still a sucker for stats (with the exception of election polls - when are they ever right?). Here's a cool website I recently came across that shows a world clock and the rate of change for various categories, such as: births, deaths, extinct species, bicycles produced (who wouldn't want to know that?), earth temperature, abortions, etc. Check it out.....Wednesday, January 2, 2008
Happy New Year!
It's a new year! For many, the turning of a year brings a feeling of renewing, starting over, looking forward, launching ahead. It's a fresh beginning to better things. At least that's what we hope for. We make strides and efforts to set goals, make resolutions, and outline a vision for the future. And why not? It's a good thing to believe that your new year can bigger, better, and brighter than the previous one. What excites me so much about the new year is the new challenges and great opportunities it brings. And on that note, here are a few things that I am looking forward to in 2008:- I start a new job in a couple weeks. Very excited about this change. It is a positive career move. I'll fill you in with more details later.
- Teaching classes on Financial Peace at my church. (Can "financial" and "peace" actually be used in the same sentence? The answer is.....YES, they can and should!)
- Buying our first home. Hopefully by summer. Woo-hoo!!
- Expanding The O Candle business. I want every home in America to have an O Candle in it!
- Getting my Bachelor's degree. There's a chance I could finish by the end of the year.
- Reading more. I want to continue to strectch my mind for as far as it will go.
I wish you all the very best and a GREAT 2008! May it be a year filled with promise and opportunity.
